Faced with recent issues regarding representation within the Latinx community, these stickers are designed to call out colorist behaviors plain and simple. Celebrating ethnic roots with dark skin should be normal. Our Latinx community should do better at getting rid of the idea that dark skin is less than, period.

I wanted this sticker pack to be bold, in-your-face, and unapologetic. I used high constrast between cold blues and bold reds to communicate high priority with this issue. I also took reference to  airbrushed art  that is very popular in Chicana communities  in rodeos, state fairs, and boardwalks.  Since colorism comes from crossing intersectionalities, these designs cross eachother and combine recognizable motifs in the hispanic community with Spanglish.  We need more awareness with how intersectionality works and how both race and ethnicity need attention when it comes to representing Latinx communities in media, news, and communications.
